Dypsis Leptocheilos
Teddy Bear Palm

The Teddy Bear Palm is native to Madagascar.  This palm can be grown in USDA Hardiness Zones 10b-11. Teddy Bears do best when planted in full sun.  The common name for Dypsis Leptocheilos comes from the soft brown fur on the crownshaft.  The Teddy Bear Palm grows at a moderate rate and adapts well to a broad range of soil types.  A mature Teddy Bear Palm can reach heights of up to 30'.
